For A Bit of Love

A/N: I miss my Byakuya-niisama!! (cries) I dunno why... but I simply miss him!!

Sigh... anyway.... fic from my heart....
_____________________________________________________________________

For once, she just wanted to know how it felt like to have a true brother. Everyone was just too busy to fawn over her, so she created a world in which she was safe, often retreating behind another, darker personality to guard her easily wounded heart.

In the end, that wild, dark side of her took over, freezing her heart to any feelings of conscience or hurt, showing her the freedom of going wild, letting loose, rebelling against everything she had been taught before. And she simply loved the feeling it gave her. Each time she did something, each time her sharp tounge hurt others, each time she gave someone a reason to hate her, it slashed at her heart, leaving a deep wound, but because it was frozen solid, no pain was felt. Not even the slightest bit of remorse.

But even so, not all shields hold. The first time she met him, he was a funny, kind man six years older than herself. Her second crush. She had long given up on her first, becoming normal friends with him instead, and gave her love to this man instead. He gave her the attention she craved, spoke kind words to her... but broke her heart in the end. And that night, in so many years, she cried.

She never cried again after that. Nor did she trust another man.

But as the years passed, her yearning for someone to give her his attenttion, to be close to her and hug her at night, staying by her side till she fell asleep grew. She longed for a brother, for someone to look up to, for someone to bully yet still love her, for someone who could tame the dark side within her. The ice around her heart, thick as it may seem, somehow began melting on the inside, collapsing within itself, while the outer layer stood as firm as ever.

It began touching the frozen wounds, thawing them.. and for the first time since she hid herself inside... the little girl saw the sunlight again. Alone behind a locked door, she cried herself to sleep, pouring out her anger, misery and grief at being alone. It went on... and it still went on.

A loner and a person that talked to herself often, she retreated into the world she created again, this time painting a more vivid picture of what she wanted to be alike and how she wanted life to be like, but this only served to bring about more grief to herself. Standing in front of the mirror, she knew she could never be the person she wanted to be. She would never be the emerald-eyed, black haired intelligent and strong beauty of her making, never live in complete freedom, never know how it feels like to have someone love her.

So many cold nights, and she passed all of them mourning for the brother she never had. Oh, how she longed to cuddle up with an older brother during rainy days, get bullied, put her head in his lap and feel his hand on her forehead as she drifted off to sleep with a smile, knowing someone would be there for her, feeling his comforting presense..... She would never have the privelage to feel all that.

Then... her world began to crumble as she reality of growing older hit her. Her make believe guardian disappeared, causing her to scream out in silent agony each time she cried, venting out her frustrations in the form of songs or writing. Her dark side, tamed now, stayed faithfully with her, but what could a reflection do for comfort? She wanted someone to comfort her... but she had no one...

For a bit of love...

I am that girl that cries out each time in her heart for the craving need of affection. I am that little girl that so long ago tried to take her own life because of frustration, desprate need and depression. I froze myself, I didn't allow myself to be influenced by my consience, and I hurt others as easily as taking a blade and cutting a line through your skin. And I don't feel the hurt I put on others or myself.

But despite all that, I still cry at night behind the locked door of my room. I'd go up, turn on the radio, put a cd on, curl up on the bed with a pillow in my arms and cry and cry and cry for hours on end. I tried to take my own life again... last year... but it didn't turn out. I'm afraid of death.

I'd do anything, just for a bit of love. Just to feel a warm hand on my forehead and and to hear a quiet voice before I sleep. Just to have someone.... or anyone say that they love me, or they're proud of me. Just to be able to stop the tears that flow so easily from my eyes like what is happening now.

Anything....

Just for a bit of love......

During The Night

A/N: Oi veigh.... I've been obsessed with the Eleventh Division recently, thanks to peroxidepest17's drabbles on Fanfiction.net. And yeeessss..... I DO think Zaraki is hot, Umi.... much hotter than MAYURI-taichou of yours, wahahahha!

Ahem, no offence... Please don't kill me and take back your posters in school tomorrow? Pleassseeeeeee? (puppy eyes)

Anyway, umm... maybe a little something about my OC and Zaraki-taichou?
___________________________________________________________________

Kamaitachi Ryorin just loved the night, where she could sit and stroke Zaraki-taichou's hair all she wanted, brushing them free of tangles and washing it clean of the super-strong hair gel and sweat that had been stuck there during the day. Now, as she worked on the second spike, the first all de-tangled and washed and brushed to a smooth texture, the tiny bells on the other spikes tinkled softly as she pushed his head forwards so she could get a better grip.

Normally, no one would've dared to do that, only Yachiru did, but Ryorin was fearless now as she ran her fingers through his hair. Zaraki would never hurt her.

And Zaraki Kenpachi, the intimidating giant of a man that struck fear into the hearts of most Shinigami, now sat quietly in front of her, leaning his weight carefully aginst her legs as she worked on his hair. No word was spoken between them, even when the brush dragged through his hair, Ryorin trying to be as gentle as possible, enjoying each other's silent presence. Each bell was carefully taken off at the end of every night, kept in a special box with little compartments for each of them.

No word had been said for the past three hours. Three hours? Had it really taken that long to completely clean out his hair with spray and water and other stuff? Yes.... it had.. and three hours had passed with Ryorin peacefully running her fingers through her taichou's strangely silky curtain of hair. Zaraki left her to her administrations, leaning back with a relaxed sigh, still careful not to put too much weight on her legs, and started talking about the day's events.

"This mornin'.. you hurt during sparrin', girl?"

"No, taichou. A bit bruised, that's all."

"Good, cause I threw you, Yumi an' that Bald-Head off hard."

"Ain't nothing that hurts me much, taichou."

Zaraki rolled his one visible eye and muttered, "Language, girl. Remember how I told ya to speak when we're alone?"

A smile crossed Ryorin's lips. "Speak like a normal lady. Ain't no boy here to see ya talk rough except me, an' I ain't gonna let no one see ya talk like one of those pansies out of our Division."

There was an approving grunt. "Good. Now talk like one. Yer a girl after all, an' it's already hard enough t' teach Yachiru to speak nicely."

Ryorin's fingers paused in his hair. "Hai, taichou."
___________________________________________________________________

"There's a scratch on yer neck."

"Yumichika and I were sparring this afternoon. Nothing to worry about, tai... Zaraki."

The roles had been reversed, and Ryorin was now curled comfortably in Zaraki's lap while the captain, not so intimidating now, ran his fingers through her hair. His chest rumbled in reply as he took in Ryorin's words. Ryorin was loyal to him, extremely loyal, just like Yumi and Ikkaku, and she would never leave him. The only times he let her drop formalities were times like this, and even so, she found it hard to call him simply by his name.

"What happened between you an' Yama-jii today, gal? Ain't all the time that he calls one o' my Lieutanants to the First."

Ryorin stiffened slightly, causing Zaraki to pause. "It's nothing to worry about."

"Ryorin..." The note in her captain's voice was warning.

"Renji is now captain of the Third Division, and Kira-kun is captain of the Fifth." Ryorin's voice was soft. "Soutaichou wants to put me under Renji as his Vice-captain."

Zaraki was quiet for a while, then he started to chuckle. "Well, what're you gettin' so worked up on, gal? Ain't much trouble to be Vice to that Red-Head. You could teach him a thing or two there."

"But tai.. I mean, Zaraki, I-"

"Don't sound like that goddammed bastard Madarame. I've had enough with his lil' speeches 'bout loyalty. Well, loyalty my foot. I'll be yer captain and yer captain always till kingdom come, ya hear me, Kamaitachi Ryorin? Now you get out there an' serve that Red-Head like you served me. An' kick his ass once in a while durin' sparrin', alright?"

Ryorin leaned back against him and took a deep breath, breathing in his earthy scent. "Hai... taichou."

Zaraki grunted. "It's getting late, gal. Get to bed."

"Hai, oaysumi nasai, taichou." Ryorin stood up, followed by Zaraki, and her gave her a rough hug before letting her go.
___________________________________________________________________

The next day, Ryorin left for the Third Division, and Zaraki had to tame his hair on his own.

The second night, Yumichika did it for him, and he realized with some kind of belated regretfullness that it hurt to pull on his hair.

The third night, Aizen struck to test the strength of Soul Society. The Third Division was one of those that was sent to the Living World to fight off the Arrancar.

And after the fourth night, Zaraki decided to leave his hair in it's spikes, eventhough it hurt to sleep with them.
___________________________________________________________________

Zaraki trudged back to the Eleventh Division, feeling tired though he would never show it. The bells at the ends of his hair was so clogged with dirt and grime now that it hardly made a sound when he moved. But still he refused to have the spikes taken out, even with Yumichika warning him that he might lose most of his hair soon...

A soft but powerful rieatsu filled the air as he neared his quarters, and he looked up, growling, zanpakutoh at the ready to kill off whoever it was that dared enter his quarters without his permission, only to see a familliar figure sitting at the window.

"Ryorin?"

Ryorin turned from where she was leaning against the window frame and looking out at the sky, a small smile on her lips. "Thought I wouldn't come back huh, taichou?"

Zaraki said nothing but swept her up in him arms, giving her a tight hug, and setting her down in the chair sitting in the middle of the room, sitting before her, maniacal grin firmly back in place.

"Heh, get to work, ya little Weasel. Ya know what to do."

Blue Winter

A/N: Lol... went out for a spin and came back all hyped, so..... here it is, then.... Initial D fandom!
___________________________________________________________________

Snow was falling silently in small flakes outside the window, a signal that Winter had finally decided to reveal her stunning performance. In the warm kitchen, the tapping of a laptop's keyboard sounded soothing to the man busily typing up an assignment. As if sensing the snow's fall, Takahashi Ryosuke stopped and looked up at the window. The man was always associated with Winter, most probably because he was as cold as the season, but deep down, he had a totally warm personality, a personality only glimpsed by those who knew him well. "Well, well.... it's snowing." Ryosuke got up and walked over to the window, smilling faintly. "Any minute now..."

From the other end of the compund he was facing, there was a shriek of joy, and the sounds of mechanical instruments toppling over in someone's haste to get to the door. A few seconds later, (after all the clanging and banging), Akamatsu Arisa pushed up the door of the garage where all their cars were kept for the time being to keep them safe from the snow. The look on her face was one of excitement, and mischevious glee, that just added to the streak of grease across the bridge of her nose. Another second later, and his brother, Takahashi Keisuke, poked his blonde head out of the door, muttering something under his breath as he looked up at the sky with wondering blue eyes masked behind green lenses. Yet another moment and... "ANIKI!!! IT'S STARTED SNOWING!!!"

Ryosuke sighed, grabbing a coat and a scarf that had been hanging ready behind the door, prepared for the snow that had been threatening to fall for the past few days. "I hear you otouto," he called back as he joined them.

"Ryosuke!" Risa yelled gaily, waving a hand that still (miraculously) clutched a spanner. "It's started to snow!!! We can start the ice runs now!"

Ryosuke stopped right before her and tried rubbing the grease away with his thumb, but soon gave up when the oil decided to stay put. "You're pretty eager, Risa. I take it that the both of you are done with the Winter modifications?"

"Running a test check on them now, aniki," Keisuke said dutifully. "Well.... er, going to run a test.... Risa knocked oer some stuff when he saw that it had started snowing."

"Well, you KNOW I love snow, Kei.." Risa grinned and playfully pinched his ear. "I'm not called the Ice Princess of Tochigi for nothing, you know!"

Keisuke laughed. "Of course you are. And I'm the Yellow Lightning of Akagi that can kick your royal frozen ass anytime, Princess."

"And I'M the feared White Comet of Akagi." Ryosuke's voice, though filled with amusement, brought both racers back to earth with a hard thump, rapping them on their heads to remind them that their superior was standing right in front of them, and they shouldn't flaunt their skills in front of a more experienced racer. "I'm still superior to the both of you, if I remember correctly."

Risa smiled teasingly. "Certainly, Takahashi-sama. Would you like me to serve you your tea now?"

"In a maid's outfit, aniki?" Keisuke smirked as well.

Ryosuke faked a cough to show that he got the message as well. "If the both of you are done, take a run on Akagi tonight to test the touge. Risa, you're the expert on ice here, so you should be in your element."

Two confident smiles met his words. "Hai!"

A shappire blue Mazda Rx7 Spirit R's rotary engine hummed gently as the owner warmed the car up. Next to it, a yellow Mazda Enfini Rx7 FD3S revved it's engine loudly. "Keisuke..." Risa frowned lightly, annoyed. "You scared me. Don't do that."

Keisuke laughed. "Koi, I'm doing it to pull rank on you. I'm still better, see?"

"Hell no. Didn't you hear Ryosuke?" Risa argued. "This is my element. I'll thrash your butt tonight!"

"Sou desu ka?" A wicked gleam entered Keisuke's eye. "Well... how about a race, then? If I win, I get to do whatever I want to you tonight. If you win, you get to use my credit card for a week."

Risa's eyes narrowed as she accepted his challenge. "Fine, then. Takahashi Keisuke, prepare to lose all your money to me!"

"Ha ha ha! We'll see, princess....."

5. No Love At All

Anime: Devil May Cry
Title: No Love At All
Rating: G
Pairing/Character(s): Jade
Warning(s): None
Summary: Jade could never find the love she craved for.
A/N: Inspired by one of Divine-Star's drawings again. This time titled Safe In My Arms. makes me wish Saprda was my father... again... Link: http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/26032052
___________________________________________________________________

She could always remember how her father held her brother in his arms while he slept, and while she looked in from the doorway. Father always did favour her brothers over her, and as much as she longed for him to do the same to her... she knew, it would never come to pass.

The only attention Jade got was from her mother, a mortal Priestess taken away one night to serve the demons for eternity. One daughter, two sons. Mariya had not thought about having a daughter, and so left her with the females. Boys were better and always would be, he had once said. Her mother Dylena had killed herself, and Jade fled the Clan.

Her heart longed for someone to hold her till she fell asleep, someone to at least show some affection for her. Her brothers, the older too cold to talk to, the younger too reckless to be with, both were too busy for her. Her father considered her to be a nusiance, and her mother... the only person who had ever had time to sit with her... was gone.

Maybe it's just fate, Jade thought to console herself. Miles away from her homeland, she was alone. But then again... the word 'alone' was part of her life.

Or was she, really?

A hand reached out to her from where she sat, curled up against herself, under a small shelter, and she looked up to meet icy blue eyes.

"If you have no place to go to, why not work for me?"

4. He's My Familly

Anime: Devil May Cry
Title: He's My Family
Rating: G
Pairing/Character(s): Dante
Warning(s): Spoiler for those who's just starting DMC
Summary: Dante reminisences over his childhood days
A/N: Inspired by Divine-Star's drawing of Sparda sleeping with his kids... Sigh... If only my familly was like that.. and if only my dad was Sparda.. or like Sparda... (cries) Pic titled Sweet Dreams. Link: http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/29349209
___________________________________________________________________

Dante could remember the times Sparda tucked him and Vergil into bed when they were still kids. How nice it was then, to have a familly that loved you, even if your father was missing most of the time; Sparda made it up sometimes by getting into bed with the twins to tell them a bedtime story. Eva always found him asleep with his arm draped over the two boys, like any father would do.

A bitter smile cracked the corner of Dante's lips. Those were nothing but memories. Their mother was dead, Sparda too... though he sometimes refused to belive it, and his older twin Vergil was rotting in Hell with Mundus.

What had happened to those happy times, he wondered. What had changed everything? He was too young then to remember, and he knew that he probably didn't want to remember at all. To hell with it, he thought. I don't even know why I still care for Vergil... no, Nero Angelo. He wants to be with the damned, let him. Why do I even care?

Somewhere at the back of his head, a small voice said,

Because he's family. Because you care. Deny it as much as you want, Dante Sparda... you need and want to be loved again.

Strangely, the voice sounded very much like Jade's.

3. Dante Sparda

Anime: Devil May Cry
Title: Dante Sparda
Rating: G
Pairing/Character(s): Jade, Dante
Warning(s): A bored mind that's infatuated after a talk with "Dante", lol...
Summary: Jade ponders over the Son of Sparda.
A/N: I seriously have nothing better to do.....

Me: I love you so so much, Dante!
Dante: Me too.
Me: Really?
Dante: Do you want me to think twice?
Me: Lol...
___________________________________________________________________

There was something so intimate about their position when he had her pressed up against the wall, sharp blade at her throat. It sent a shiver up Jade's spine, even as he hissed at her, almost breaking her skin with his sword. So... he knew who she was; she gave him credit for that. If they weren't in such a precarious position, it would seem that they were about to do something. But in reality, they were both ready to kill each other in order to defend themselves. Yet, she loved staring into his eyes. Those icy blue eyes, blazing with so much anger in them....

Anger? Why anger when he, like her, was a demon.. or half demon, since Sparda married a mortal? Jade pondered over that fact as she walked away from him later on, alive and unhurt, heart beating at an usually fast rate. She could feel his eyes on her even then, but minus the anger.

Dante Sparda. Half demon and hunter extrodinaire. If she closed her eyes, she could still feel his warm breath against the exposed skin of her neck, smell the sweat that mixed with his scent..... Jade shivered again and forced herself to keep walking.

What was going on with her? No matter how hard she tried, she couldn't stop running into the man with icy blue eyes and silver hair. And now.. she couldn't get him out of her head. There was just some kind of attraction there.... but she didn't know what. Coincidence.. or Fate, maybe?

"You're free to go... Jade Kamaitachi. But if I ever find you killing humans..."

He sounded like he hated her. Maybe he hated her for being a demoness. Jade shook her head slightly as she put more and more distance between Dante and herself. If he hated her that much, why was his gaze still on her?

It unnerved yet thrilled her. A smile worked it's way onto her lips.

Interesting man... that Dante Sparda.

2. Jade Kamaitachi

Anime: Devil May Cry
Title: Jade Kamaitachi
Rating: G
Pairing/Character(s): Dante, Jade
Warning(s): Not much... I dunno...
Summary: Dante gets to know more about the Daughter of Kamaitachi.
A/N: Watched the 2nd Episode and hungering for the 3rd. Class is extremely boring, btw, so all I ever do nowadyas is to drabble on Dante and my OC

Dante: You love me too much to let me go, Maz... ^.~
MazdaKitsune: Of course, duhhh!
Vergil: What about me? (Cries)
MazdaKitsune: Uhhhhh... I love you too?
Vergil: ^^
Dante: ...

Okay, crappy dialouge. On with the drabble!
___________________________________________________________________

As it is, Jade Kamaitachi wasn't what she turned to be. Sure they had enjoyed a bowl of Strawberry Sundae together, but other than finding out her name and that she was Japanese... she was careful enough not to reveal too much information about herself.

Luckily, Dante was a devious man too. And what he found out in his research only confirmed his suspicions and made him strangely angry.

After encountering her in yet another mission as well, he swung Rebellion in a wide arc and pinned her to the wall. "I know what you are... Ryorin Kamaitachi," he hissed. "You're a demoness... a dangerous Wind Weasel known well in the Asian region. What are you doing here? I have enough demons to take care of already without having you around."

Emerald eyes flashed in anger and pain as he pressed Rebellion harder against her skin. "I never tried to hurt you... Dante Sparda. Neither have I done anything to give you a reason to kill me. Why I came is my buisness, not yours."

There was a click of a safety being released and Dante didn't have to look down to see that she had pulled out a gun of her own and had the barrel pressed against his stomach. "Leave me alone, Son of Sparda." Her eyes flashed red momentarily. "And please... don't ever call me Ryorin. You've done your research well, and I would appreciate it if you tell no one about what I am."

Stalemate. Dante removed Rebellion, seeing that she really meant him no harm. "Fine. You're free to go... Jade. But if I ever find you attacking humans..."

"I know." Jade kept her gun in a hidden thigh holster and nodded, a strange look flitting across her face. "Nice meeting you, Dante Sparda." She left.

Dante leaned against the wall where she had been pressed to moments before, feeling the lingering warmth of her body absorbed by the cold stones as he lost himself in his thoughts. Like him... maybe all demons didn't turn out the way they should be.

Intriguing demoness, this Jade Kamaitachi
